My baby girl finally has enough hair to do something with. Not that I would know what to do with it in the first place, but it's fun trying, for me anyways. Avery thinks I'm torturing her by pulling her hair and as a mother, how do you explain to your 13 mo old, "you'll be so much cuter when I'm finished." 1. she only understands that it requires her to sit still, something she hasn't mastered and b. she really can't get much cuter than she already is.
I also decided today to reveal the budding artist in Avery Shea. After an 8am trip to Family Dollar to buy the necessary supplies, she begrudgingly ( she didn't enjoy it like I thought) painted a picture for Daddy to hang in his new office at work. When she gave it to Daddy he said, "You know, I used to think, when people got these hand made things as gifts they were really pointless, but this one is cute." Oh boy, Avery is going to have the highest self esteem out of all her peers :) Really though, he loved it.

Try fingerpainting with pudding or cool whip. Avery will like it a whole lot better. No paper required, just a clean high chair tray!
