A not so happy day
Avery attended her first funeral. Our Paw Paw Plemmons passed away early Sunday morning, two days before his 81st birthday. His funeral was today. We stood in a visitation line for two hours, sat through the funeral service for one hour and went to a frigid cold graveside service for about 30 minutes. Avery was so incredibly good. She only had one mini melt down at the very end and that was mostly because she hadn't eaten anything for most of the day. We already miss Paw Paw a ton and are so thankful that Avery got to meet him and he got to meet her. It's not going to be the same without him.

What a treasure to have this picture! A reminder of importance of family, the connectedness that will allow Avery, although she won't remember her Great Paw Paw, to know that her life, from her infancy, was, is and always will be surrounded by a stable foundation supplied by a loving family.
